Teaching children and teenagers
The association pays special attention to teaching children and teenagers. These programs aim for children to strengthen their handwriting and writing skills while also discovering the beauty of letters, creativity and art.
These courses use simple, engaging methods suited to children's ages, aiming to make writing an enjoyable, artistic activity for them.
Teaching alongside technology
The association works to bring traditional calligraphy teaching together with new technology. Online classes, video instruction, demonstrations, direct contact with masters and digital tools can make it easier for people in different countries to take part.
Technology in the association's teaching does not replace hand skill and human creativity; it is a means for spreading education and introducing the written arts more widely.
Specialized workshops
Workshops can be short or long term, on specialized themes. In these workshops, experienced masters and artists share their own experience and methods with participants.
Some workshops are held internationally, with artists from several countries taking part, so that participants can learn about different approaches to calligraphy and the written arts.
Masters and teachers
The association draws on distinguished masters, professional artists, researchers and experienced teachers for its courses. Teachers are chosen based on their artistic record, teaching ability, experience and expertise.
Talented young artists may also serve as assistants or teachers in educational programs once they have gained experience and the association's approval.
Certificate of completion
Participants in a course or workshop can receive a certificate of participation or completion from the association where they finish the program and meet its stated requirements. The type of certificate depends on the course's level, duration and content. It documents participation in one of the association's educational programs and records the learner's educational history.
The purpose of our teaching
The association's aim is not only to teach beautiful writing; it is to nurture people who are creative, precise, patient, and familiar with the culture and art of writing. The association wants every learner to be able to start from simple writing, reach calligraphy, and in the end turn their own writing into a visual, artistic language.
From a child's first line to a master's creativity, education continues at the World Association of Calligraphers.
