Membership
Become part of a worldwide community of calligraphy.
Membership allows people from around the world to formally take part in the association. It is not restricted by country, language, artistic style, artistic tradition or age.
Who can join
You do not need to be a professional artist to become a member. The association welcomes applications from:
- Artists and calligraphy masters
- Instructors and teachers
- Researchers
- School, university and calligraphy students
- Young artists and calligraphy learners
- Collectors
- Supporters of calligraphy
Students and young artists may submit their work and participate according to their abilities. Age or professional title is never used as a substitute for artistic assessment.
Your path to membership
Apply
Create an account and complete the application form. It takes about ten minutes.
Share your work
Artist applicants upload samples of their work: at least one and up to eight images. Other applicants simply describe their connection to calligraphy.

The association reviews your application and may ask for additional information.
Approval and payment
Approved applicants receive the membership fee, validity period and payment instructions.

Once payment is recorded, your membership is activated with a membership number and a digital card.

You always know where your application stands.

Your application is saved at once and appears in your account as “submitted”.

Payment only after approval
You are never asked to pay when you apply. The fee is requested only after your application is approved, with clear payment instructions.
Fees and renewal
The fee and validity period of each membership type are set by the association and listed above. Approved applicants receive the fee and payment instructions with their approval; a membership is activated once its payment is recorded.
Each membership period has an expiration date, shown on the digital membership card. Continuing after that date requires renewal for a new membership period; earlier periods remain part of the member's history.
Member responsibilities
Members are expected to:
- Provide accurate information.
- Respect intellectual property and the rights of creators.
- Behave respectfully toward other members.
- Follow the association's policies.
- Participate in a manner consistent with the association's independent, non-political, non-religious and non-partisan character.
Important membership notes
Membership confirms that a person is a member of the association. Membership alone does not mean:
- confirmation of an artistic grade or rank;
- authentication of artworks belonging to the member;
- acceptance into an exhibition;
- approval for a competition;
- endorsement of every submitted artwork;
- a guaranteed sale of artworks.
Artistic evaluation, artwork authentication, exhibitions and competitions are separate processes with their own criteria.
Ready to apply?
